Thank you for sharing your beautiful and heartfelt story with us all.

Since we each have the ability to be the master of our brain and the creator of our life, do astrological influences have any effect on us?

    Thank you for your wisdom.

    20. New Torchlight – Pioneering the English speakers

    Good afternoon,

I read the entry I copied above and felt sadness that The Korean membership decreased as the American membership increased. Then I had many questions in my mind as to why this would happen. I know that many times there is miscommunication, at others emotion gets in the way and then there is that need for separation we have all experienced at one time or another.
I began to wonder why this happened in this way. Was it a conflict between two different cultures coming together? If so, what was it that interfered with both cultures coming together with a common purpose? Was the purpose of Dahn yoga and healing centers not clear to all members?
I spent much of my childhood in the Canary Islands, a place where people from many different cultures come together. I felt a kinship with all my school mates no matter what culture. Was this because The Canary Islands was a place where this melting pot occured naturally due to it’s geographical location? Perhaps it wa size, much smaller than the U.S. and therefore the need to coexist in harmony was vital.
The United States is also a melting pot of many cultures. Perhaps the centers at which this divide occured where in more segregated areas? The staff did not know how to navigate between both cultures?
    So many questions…

Thank you for sharing your story it is very good to read such a candid account of how Dahn has grown and the challenges past and present that it undergoes.

Thank you for your wonderful reply.
The American speaking members increased because of the relative increase in the English speaking members. Not necessary that the Korean members decreased. There is limitation to Korean speaking members due to its regional differences in the Korean population. In Korea, there are still lots of members since it is taught in Korean. Also, we need more Korean speaking masters, to increase the teaching the class in Korean. When we have more masters and members, then we can increase the diversity in different languages. The classes differ by which language is spoken mostly by each class. In the beginning, predominantly it was mostly Korean speaking members, but there was limitation in just delivering this to the Korean members. There was difficulty in operating and managing with just the Korean speaking members. So, we expanded to the English speaking members. I hope that in the future there are many masters who can speak and teach in many different languages.
    Thank you once again
